I know what you’re wondering…

What do Snickerdoodles taste like?

A snickerdoodle tastes like a soft chewy cinnamon sugar cookie. They are beyond perfect! My version has a few extra warming spices other than cinnamon in the cookie batter.

Why is there cream of tartar in Snickerdoodle Cookies?

I’m sure we have all wondered what the heck cream of tartar is before, ha! Cream of tartar is a leavening agent that helps to change the texture of the cookies to a chewier and taller cookie than your typical sugar cookie. It adds that slight tangy taste that we have come to know in snickerdoodles as well!

How is a Snickerdoodle different from a sugar cookie?

Not only do snickerdoodles have a chewier texture and taller look than sugar cookies, but they are rolled in a cinnamon sugar mixture before baking which gives them that perfect crinkly top!
